Varsity esports at Champlain College officially launched in the 2022 spring season. There is currently one Champlain varsity esports team: Rocket League. Teams, tournaments, and events are open and inclusive to the entire Champlain community. Students across all academic divisions can get involved in different ways that support the program’s players and leagues.

The Champlain Varsity Esports teams provide competitive athletic scholarships for student athletes, managers, and coaches! If you are hungry to be the best, driven to excel, and interested in receiving aid while representing Champlain College at a national level, you’ll find a welcome home in Champlain Esports!
Going to college and balancing academics and varsity commitments can be tough. Champlain Varsity Esports makes sure that our student athletes prioritize the “student” over the “athlete.” We set up each of our student athletes for academic success, and we take a proactive approach to ensuring our work-life balance doesn’t interfere of what truly matters during the college years. We offer group study and tutoring to help varsity student athletes balance their work and create a community of academic and personal support.
The state-of-the-art Champlain Esports facility offers a home for competitive & recreational play, digital content creation, and live broadcasting. Featuring 16 PC stations with high-quality PCs, game chairs, and all the latest hardware and software, the facility is open to all Champlain students. Varsity Champlain Esports teams get priority access to the facilities. If you’re interested in anything esports, this will be a welcome home for you to come and find your people.
We understand that to perform your best, you need to feel your best. That’s why Champlain Esports works with students keep them physically active, maintain a healthy eating and sleeping schedule, and take care of their bodies and minds. We assist our Esports participants in creating healthy schedules that balance mental and physical health, and offer dedicated fitness sessions among other forms of self care.Varsity athletes must meet minimal physical fitness and community service requirements by attending Champlain programs or events to maintain their spot on varsity teams.
